Eat Smart, Live Strong (designed for adults 60 and older)

Mondays, April 10th, 17th, 24th, and May 1st, 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. 

Presented by the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service. Enjoy fun and lively activities with other older adults! Talk about easy ways to make smart food choices and exercise more. Learn how you can Eat Smart and Live Strong! Some lessons will include prizes and food tastings.


National Poetry Month Western Poetry Performance 

Thursday, April 27th, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. 

In honor of National Poetry Month, we will have an evening of cowgirl and cowboy poetry with Teresa Burleson and David Hansford. Both have performed at Red Steagall events and numerous other western heritage programs.

Coloring for Grown ups

Every second Thursday of the month.

Why should kids have all the fun? Join us at the library for a fun night of coloring and other paper crafts. The library will provide coloring sheets designed for adults, colored pencils, and light refreshments. Feel free to bring your own coloring and paper craft supplies!

Are you looking for the crochet class or knitting group? Don’t worry, the knitting and crochet groups have combined forces! The needlework group is a great way to meet fellow crafters who enjoy crochet, embroidery, knitting, or any other type of hand work. Share ideas and hone skills. Open to all ages and skill levels. Just bring your own materials (yarn, needles/hooks).

Join the book club on the third Thursday of each month! Adults of all ages are welcome to attend and discuss the book selection of the month. A free copy of the book may be picked up at the library information desk. Books are available on a first-come, first served basis.

Join us on the fourth Tuesday of every month for a book discussion and bagels. It’s a chance to share your thoughts on a book of your choosing that follows our theme for the month, and you will learn new titles to add to your must read list.
